There are so many different applications for headlines, but that does not detract from the central fact of what they all have to accomplish. If your headlines can stand to convert a little better, then you will be a smart cookie to read this article.

If you can persuade, in whatever fashion or emotion, the person reading your headline to have the slightest bit of curiosity, then you will have done your job. The headline does not always have to take the same approach, and in fact you should learn as many different headline strategies as you can.

Until you’re clear about this very purpose, you won’t be able to convert your readers into prospects or sales. Bland headlines that serve no emotional purpose or any significant feeling for the reader will be passed over fairly quickly.

A headline that is too long will really work against you, rather than for you. Really, what you want to try and accomplish with a headline will almost always determine the length. Your aim should be to convey what you have to convey in a few words, so it’s not only short and punchy, but also meaningful. What ultimately draws people to your headline will be based on your strategy in it. Benefits tend to capture attention, so you then have to decide if you want to use your best one.

If you have a really powerful USP or unique benefit that can stop people cold, then you should consider placing it in the headline. On the other hand, it is not absolutely necessary for you to do that depending on your particular strategy. Even though it is not mandatory, if you can pull it off it can work like gangbusters. This all may sound easy until you sit down and try to do it, and that is why you have to practice.

Headline writing is a bit of an art form, but there is also a lot of reliable science behind it, too. Remember that you have to be patient about this, and that is just the way it is. Be willing to do more than the next person, and that habit will often put you out in front.

The first submission has been submitted to ezine. I will use the same strategy and post the same articles that have been re-written to goArticles tommorow.

What we are trying to establish here is to get some good high PR rankings from at least 2 high trusted and established article directories for the same keyword set phrases. Our keyword set we are initially testing here contains 2 keyword phrases, so we are writing 2 articles per site and submitting both of these to our targeted article directories.

We have linked the first keyword set of articles to our main blog page. The second set to be submitted to our second article directory WILL deep link to our targeted blog article post and NOT the top level site.
