Get BacklinksBut from where?

Link generating is the primary method we use to increase both your search engine positioning and also the traffic you want to convert on your site.

When is comes to the inbound links.. as we know they come in a variety of different guises. You ideally should be obtaining different types of one-way links to your web-sites to increase the diversity of the backlinks coming to your website.

The following shows some of the different types available.

Inbound links from blogs:
These come from posting blog comments. You find the blog and leave a related comment (not spam like ‘I like this’ or ‘Excellent read I will come back here often’ or ‘Well done’) to the subject matter. You leave your targeted keywords as your name and a URL to backlink(normally a website field).

Inbound links from authority web-sites:
These usually come from one way links within your profiles on the site itself i.e. within websites such as codeproject.com and ehow.com, you can leave your URL within the profile itself. This links back to your site and in turn helps your ranking.

One-way links from forums:
These are simply one-way links that come from your forum profiles themselves. The backlinks are dropped inside your BIO / Signature with your own anchor text. These links are normally coded in the form of bbcode or html.

Inbound links from web 2.0 sites:
These are backlinks from websites such as squidoo / hubpages and zimbio AND these types of backlinks rank very well. This is because we are taking advantage of the authority of the site itself by using articles that include your keywords in the ‘title’ and 2/3 times in the article body. We also insert our keyword optimized URL and anchor text within the article body itself. The rss feeds off the created sites can also be used for promotion.

Backlinks from software directories:
These are probably the most underused backlink type about at the moment and can result in 100′s of very simple back links to your web-sites. These links come from you submitting totally free software (simple to produce) to a software directory and create a website link back to your own web site.

Quite simply you create a free piece of software, upload the information for the software to several software directories with a web page link back to your own web site. On your web-site you create a download from which the software can be download.

I wouldn’t recommend you create the standard ‘exe’ guide or screen saver as most directories now class these as spam.

You may wonder though… How can this benefit me and my site? You need to understand that a huge amount of software directories have very high pr? I.e. download.com

We are getting some of this high pr link juice for our own sites but we are also getting a website link within the serps pages from the directories to our software and pages.

What we do here is to have some more back links on our download page that backlinks to 2/3 of our other inner pages within our web site and viola we have some awesome link love interlinking our different pages.

Just imagine creating a simple product (maybe 30 mins to come up with software and submit) and within a very brief period of time acquiring 100s of completely new one way links for 30 mins work?

*** Sounds like a good plan to me!! ***

I read through an excellent guide on the complete software submissions process using a one of a kind type of software to produce (takes a matter of minutes) an app to submit that will never ever in a 100 years get categorized as spam.

Get BacklinksĀ  from articles:
These inbound links come from article directories from which you submit articles and they are published. You feature your keywords within your title (note not just your keywords)

i.e… for Nintendo wii -> ‘How to find your ideal Nintendo wii’ would be a good title

You add your anchor and URL to the ‘resource box’ at the end of the article.

Personally I would suggest that you only using the Top 10-15 article directories and do not waste time submitting to any other directory.

On the article content you can spin your base article utilizing either software or a service such as jetspinner.com (free to spin). I would recommend highly spinning the article to around 40-45% and manually re-check each one to make sure it makes sense.

There are other forms of back links that are utilized for promotion and rapid link building such as RSS feeds and Meta Indexing.

Look out for the next part of this back links tutorial in which I will go through how you can discover one-way links easily from forums and blogs and just how we can do this using a simple firefox plug-in and a particular type of Google search.

I will also let you know the easiest and speediest way to fast index all of your sites and urls.

How to Effectively Use RSS Feeds For Backlinks

When it comes to RSS feeds most people mis-understand the usefulness of what they do and how they can benefit your site.

most blogging platforms like word press have RSS built in and other platforms that do not can use a number of free utilities to generate an rss feed for the site, either via an online feed service or a generates feed ‘xml’ file that the site owner upload to the site root.

But how does a rss feed benefit you?

First off, when you submit your rss feed to the rss directories it get syndicated to 100′s of other sites which in turn generates more traffic to your own site and backlinks. This also get your site quick indexed in the search engines.

But how can we maximize our RSS feeds?

Step 1) If you have a niche specific niche keyword phrase and your running ‘wordpress’ as your blogging platform then install the ‘feedburner’ plug in to enable your RSS feed to contain your ‘main’ keyword phrase.

ie. instead of the default feed being: http://yourdomain/feed
it becomes http://yourdomain/my-keyword-phrase-here

This will help to rank your RSS feed as well as well your site, so a double bonus.

step 2) Submit your feed to at least the following directories:
- feedagg
- feedage
- syndic8
- yahoo feeds
- icerocket

step 3) ping your feed at ‘pingoat.com’ and re-ping ‘Everytime’ you create a new post

step 4) If you dont have a RSS feed on your site, you have 2 options here. Either use a service like html2rss and create the feed and upload it to your site. You can also use a service like ‘dapper.com’ to create a feed of your posts or articles but I prefer to use ‘icerocket’ as its very simple to use and very effective.

goto http://rss.icerocket.com and signup for a free account.

Once you have confirmed your account, login and ‘create a new channel’. Give your base domain name and add a keyword rich title and description. Now go and make a list (in a text editor) of all your different page urls and save them in your text editor.

Next take each page url and add a ‘new item’ to your rss channel on ice rocket for each url. Once you have completed this, click the publish link and this will create a RSS Feed link for you to promote.

Now take the rss feed and submit to the sites above. When ever you add a new page to your site, add a new item to your rss channel and re-publish then ping the RSS channel.

Step 5) if you already rss feed on your blog you can still create a ice rocket feed and add your urls in.

Also for any other site you create take the RSS from the site (ie. ezine articles) and submit to the above rss directories.

For every other site you are creating links on, add those links to a New RSS channel and submit then ping the channel every time you add a new item to it.

These are the simply steps I carry out using rss and the traffic and hits I get from this are testimonial on how well this works.

So get your RSS cranked up and blasted out and you can benefit from these feeds as well..

until next time..
